These neighborhoods are considered some of the ?happening" places to live. And there?s something here for everyone from small garden-style condos to luxury high-rises and 4-level town homes to bungalows and Craftsman-style homes. A lot of the appeal of these neighborhoods is their proximity to the Metro and the desire to be walking distance from activity. Years ago these neighborhoods consisted of nothing but houses and used car dealerships but over the last ten years the area has been revitalized, experiencing a construction boom in both residential and commercial real estate. The center of activity is Clarendon where you?ll find shopping, dining and nightlife but Ballston has much to offer as well including a shopping mall and movie theater. George Mason?s law school is located in Clarendon. These neighborhoods have been home to area CEO?s political figures and currently some of the Washington Nationals players. Homes here range from the high $200s for a condo to $500-$1Million for a townhome and $700s to upper-brackets for single family homes.
